Lower Your Cholesterol Naturally

If your doctor has recently advised you to lower your cholesterol, pay attention! According to the American Heart Association, having a cholesterol level of 240 or more puts you at extremely high risk of developing heart disease or stroke. Those with levels between 200 and 239 are considered borderline high risk.
When Dana Paul Heller, 43, an advertising account executive from Rice Lake, Wisc., went in for his annual physical two years ago, he found out his cholesterol was through the roof - in the mid 300s. "To help bring my levels down, my doctor put me on statin blockers, told me to start getting out and exercising and to change my diet," says Heller.
So he started a workout regimen, cut out soda and other sugary drinks and started eating more fruits and vegetables. "Initially I saw some improvements, but before long I was dealing with all kinds of side effects from the drug. I knew I couldn't keep taking it, so I started looking into alternatives."
Heller decided to give nutritional supplements a try. "At first I was skeptical, but blood test results don't lie," he says. Within just six months of beginning his regimen of eating healthy, exercising and taking two Cholesterol Control capsules a day, Heller's total cholesterol level fell under 100, and his LDL and HDL stabilized within a healthy range. "When the results came back, my doctor told me he didn't know what I was doing, but to keep it up. The improvements are amazing,'" says Heller.
Cholesterol Control, formulated by BioActive Nutrients of Spooner, Wisc., is an all-natural supplement that contains a proprietary blend of black pepper, ginger root, rosemary leaf, and turmeric root extracts, and cayenne pepper. Other ingredients are L-arginine, gamma oryzanol (rice germ oil extract), red yeast rice, artichoke extract, as well as, niacin and chromium picolinate. Together, the nutrients help lower LDL (bad cholesterol), increase HDL (good cholesterol), and put the triglycerides (a type of fat found in your blood) where they need to be.
"In combination, all these nutrients make the body work the way it is supposed to; and unlike drugs, they don't have any side effects. Unless you consider the fact that they will help you feel better, lose weight and have more energy side effects," says Guy Evans, president and CEO of BioActive Nutrients.
